Investor confidence in the commercial aviation industry has rebounded in recent months, following a tumultuous period in which the industry suffered from high oil prices, the global financial crisis and increasing market competition.
However, despite this projected growth, a shortage of qualified commercial pilots threatens to hinder the industry. The increased demand for pilots, especially in the Asia-pacific region, requires a more imaginative approach to pilot training. This, in turn, means a greater role for pilot training academies and makes them a strong investment opportunity.
